Brandi passante became an overnight star after her performance on the reality show 'StorageWars' on A&E. Also, it was a part of Jarrod Schulz, Passante's boyfriend for many years, and later husband. On this show, contents from storage lockers where the rent has not been paid for after three months are auctioned off. Brandi and Jarrod who run the "Now and Then" thrift shop in Orange, California participated in the auction with hopes of being able to purchase storage units at low prices. They didn't realize that the show would actually make reality stars out of them! Through the course of the show, they became stars. The couple's popularity in the show's reality competition allowed them to expand their operations. They also opened a second shop in addition to the one they previously owned. The success of their "Storage War" appearances led to a spinoff series called 'Brandi and Jarrod Married to the Job' which focused exclusively on the couple.
